Looking to get an asymmetrical spin for a H375. How long should the spin sheets be? Also, any tips on what winches to get and from where?

One sheet or two

One sheet should be a little over the length of the boat. To gybe, you drop the sock, coil the sheet, pass the sheet and sock around the front of the forestay, run the sheet to the turning block aft then the sheet winch, gybe the main, raise the sock, and fill out on the new tack. Two sheets would each be twice the length of the boat. To gybe, you head dead downwind, loose the sheet so the asymetric streams out ahead of the boat, gybe the main, then trim the new sheet, and fill out on the new tack. Good luck - this is a great move - our asymetric converts 20% of our cruising time from motoring to sailing in the light summer airs of Lake Erie! David LAdy Lillie

Check out the below link for the information ...

that you need. I used it to rig the asym spin on our boat. We used our existing genoa sheet winches for the spin. No need to add another set unless you want to spend the money. Worked out great. Terry

Just a follow-up note...

I'm using 7/16th inch sheets our boat because that was the smallest size that would work on our genoa winches. Terry
