How is teak finished in mid-90's Hunters?

I need to do some bulkhead replacement on my 1995 H336, and I want to be able to match the existing color and finish. I know Hunter Marine used Dalys Seafin on the interior teak, and I've already picked up a can, which I've been using for touchups. My question is when starting with unfinished teak, did Hunter use some kind of stain before the Seafin, or can I match the existing finish by just applying Seafin to raw teak?

I would suggest that you try a small area and see how it looks. My Hunter Vision has a couple of different wood types and I would assume that some were stained and others were not.

I have added small pieces of teak here and there and have just finished with the Daly's. The match varies as you would expect. I think it depends upon the specific shade of the teak you are finishing.

Perhaps Hunter customer service could tell you more.

You ask a good question. On my old 91 30T I didn't think the Dalys on new teak was dark enough. I usually used some other brand of teak oil that was a little darker. It seemed to match pretty good. Don't ask what I used as I don't remember. Try a sample first.
