Longivity for inflatable dinghy's is cleaning, wax, and a cover for them. Mine is 12 yrs old and looks good and holding up great. Knowing how to properly close haul a dinghy towed behind your boat makes a lot of difference. Chief

That really is a question for your boat builder. A few factors I can think of are, the strength of the davits, the strength of the mounting to the hull, the impact on the weight and balance of the boat, the length of the dink versus the width of the transom.

Just for example, before buying our F330 at 165#, and Honda 20HP at 149#, we called our builder, who suggested maybe 350# would be the limit for our davits. The package was within those limits, but that said, the dink does stick out on each side despite the transom being over 8' wide.

Check with your builder.

PS: But WOW - we would love to have one of those!
