Oday 25 Tampa Bay
I am selling my c/b O'day 25 and listed it as an excellent choice for a bay boat. The question I received from several possible buyers is, How far off shore could they go in this boat?, or , How far could they travel? Would anyone like to tell me about their extensive travels in this model? How safe did you feel. Many thanks, Jack

ICW TO FLORIDA

I saw a website that had the travels of a lone sailor in a O'day 25 who took that boat from the Chesapeake to the ICW in Norfolk, Va. He took the boat most of the way down during autumn a few years ago, stopping short of Florida to his intended destination. I don't have the link but a good search ought to reveal it if the site still exists. His tale told of storms on the Chesapeake Bay, and motoring most of the way, outboard motor failures, and other colder weather delights. I am not sure if anyone else ever tried such a journey in as small a craft as that. Give credit to the guy for doing it. Stu

Thanks for that link Mike. What a fantastic journey. I do hope to make the trip one day myself.
