A minute walk or 20 second drive(if the cooler is too full), a few strokes of the paddle in the canoe and I am there. Hoist sail, cast off, sail toal time front door to full sail -10 to 15 minutes.

When the boat was in Florida, fifteen minutes. But it was over 30 to open water. Back in Ohio it is an 80 minute drive but less than ten minutes to open water. Well there is the Highlander, only 40 minutes. Open water is 50 feet.
Forecast tomorrow? "N at 3". :(

900 miles, Muskoka Ontario to Oriental NC I win !
You're in Midland? which is 2 min. to my boat and you drive 900 miles to NC? I guess the drive is worth being able to use it more than 4 months per year.

52 miles typically takes me an hour and a quarter. I try to go down to the boat every weekend possible, and then some weekdays if I can. Heading down today for three days of sailing. Wo! Wo!

31.5 miles or 45 minutes on a good day; if I leave Friday at 2-3pm it will take me 1.5hr. We spend every weekend from Friday - Sunday on the boat. It is worth every minute I spend in the horrible Houston traffic getting there.

From 1 1/2 to 2 hours each direction depending on traffic so it's preferable to just live on the boat. It's worth every minute. The payback is many fold. Of course my preference is to just stay on the boat and no need to drive at all. On some summer weekend it could be a 3 hour drive home.

About 8 minutes....or 6 miles. If I have to wait at a traffic circle, it becomes 9 minutes.

70 miles usually takes me 1 hour & 20 minutes around the DC beltway from Northern Virginia into Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay. The slip is 5 minutes to open water and I go at least once a week all year long including the winters. Been making the drive since 2001 and as I tell my wife "I'm already there as soon as I start backing down the driveway".
