I have taken my old, reliable Venture 15' catamaran apart to sand, gel coat and repaint the hulls. I have discovered much history under the variety of colors I am finding! I bought the boat second hand in 1980 and the owner had bought it used as well. The hulls are straight on one side and curved on the other. The flat sides were to the outside w/numbers and the curved on the inside. Before I repaint, restripe, renumber and reassemble this boat...do the flat sides belong to the inside or the outside. This is really bugging me. Anyone know? Also, since I know a few people still have these boats, mine has always taken on water in the hulls when I sail. Is this a problem everyone has? Thanks for any suggestions.
