How do you keep rear bedding/mattresses from getting wet from water dripping down companionway entrance when raining?

Just purchased a 97 Mac 26X and I have noticed that my rear bedding/mattresses are getting wet when it rains. Best I can tell it is leak from water coming in at the top of the companionway sliding '
"V" door and the sliding top cover. Thanks for your thoughts!

I am not familiar with your boat, but maybe get a custom canvas panel to prevent the water from getting there?

Hang a piece of cloth just in front of the mattress like privacy curtain

There could be a drain "hole" thats clogged. Post pics please

Likely places for leaks are between the individual washboards if they are square with no lip, down the sides where water can migrate behind and get caught on the next washboard, any windows/keyholes in the washboards themselves, or around the sliding hatch
