bilge
I removed the foot float (bad) and the pump runs when i power it on. it has a white hose about 3 feet long, but its not connected to anything but the pump.im heading back to the boat, and take a few pics if i cant run it down. Im Thinking it must run thru that hole on the starboard side under the storage area under the seat, just didnt look far enough last night, ill let you know. Thanks! Boat History , As I Know it,,,,( Only Read if you want to )I bought this boat as a project boat, the person i bought it from had purched it from Florida, but decided it was to much for him at his age. it looks to me that the boat was damaged from a storm , dont know. 3 portlights have no glass but have plywood in them , the frames look ok, the sliding hatch that you slide open to get in side the boat is hand made and not very good at that, but appears to have been made at the same time as the rest of the quick fixes.i dont think it sunk, but did take on a lot of water, their was a 1/2" hole drilled in the bottem of the hull just forward of the keel, the only damage to the keel is at the back edge, thats kinda strange but not that bad.The Motor is a 1 cylinder Yanmar , I was told it has been "Pickeled" I pulled the dipstick and the oil looks freash and no sign of water, I need to do a lot of reading on that but thats a little down the road.I have removed allmost all the teak and now have it refinished, after i sanded I put on 2 coats of Golden teak oil then wet sanded with teak oil and 2 more coats, thay look great. On some of them I want a high gloss so ill be puting on some Cetol high Gloss. The plywood venear in the galley is painted and in bad shape so ill be rebuilding all of it.Today i want to finnish doing the breaker box ,I have replaced 2 breakers and might have to do 3 more, and replace all 5 interior lights, with any luck ill have light inside tonight, And finish the Bilge .Well didnt mean to write a book, and its time to get started.Take care and be safeMarkus
