There was no abuse or accident
I got an email from Don Martin from Hunter who told me that the only thing covered by the 5 year warranty was the hull bottom.But that has been par for the course with the customer service I have gotten from Hunter.It took 2 years just for me to get any warranty issues resolved.I sent an email back to Don thanking him and Hunter for the seat making it almost 2 years. I know alot of you love your boats and think Hunter is a stand up company but my experience has been anything but and I can say with certainty that the next boat I buy and I will buy a bigger boat,it will not be a Hunter.In addition,I will never recommend a Hunter to anyone.(I was taught if I cant say something nice,dont say nothing,so thats what I will probably do)Thanks for the response.
