Hi all,
In the process of refurbing my '79 H33 I want to remove the "wallpaper" in the head and just paint the walls. A lot of this covering has peeled off on it's own, but the wall against the engine compartment remains covered. Does anyone know how to remove this stuff? I thought about using steam, but thought maybe someone else might have been through this and might have a better suggestion.
Thanks

Painted it

Painted the head a few years ago with a light tan-tinted white. It blended in with the older fiberglass very well. I just removed the screws holding the wall to the companion-way, and painted it. I think the wall texture adds a little (o.k. very little) to the small space. Very happy with the result.

Removing "wallpaper".

As Paul pointed out many of us just painted and with good results. But if yours is already peeling that is a different problem. We had a thread about the wallpaper issue not long ago(Related Link). But it was only about painting. You might search the Archives for "wallpaper" and see if there are any ideas there.
