Is it possible to place a shower sump in the shallow bilge of a Legend 35.5. An Attwood shower sump will probably fit, but I don't know if it will be low enough to be below the shower drain. Where should the discharge hose run and should a check valve be used? I would also like to drain the air conditioner condensation pan into the sump and drain the icebox either into the sink drain or the sump. Any suggestions? As you can see I would like a dry (dryer) bilge.

ME TOOOO

IF YOU GET ANY RESPONSE PLEASE FORWARD THEM TO ME. THANKS. I HAVE A 1993 MODEL, WITH A FARILY DRY INSIDE. SAME PROBLEMS. I INSTALLED AN AC/HEAT UNIT. I RAISED THE SEAT 21/2" SO I COULD CREATE A SUMP UNDER THE HOSE BARB. NOW TO RUN A Y CONNECTION TO MY BILGE THRU-HULL AND A CHECK VALVE WITH A ICE MACHINE VALVE AT THE VERY CLOSE END OF THE HOSE BARB. THIS IS TO PREVENT FREZE-UP.

have sump on the 340

I have just replaced the west marine sump with the attwood on my H340. It is low enough on the 340. I wsn't happy with the pump in the west marine kit. Attwood uses a bigger pump. There is 2 check valves because it discharges thru the bilge pump discharge line. 1 check is at the bilge pump and the other in the shower sump discharge line. You could approximate the hieght of the hose into the sump box (without buying it) and run the shower. If it runs into the bilge it should work! Scott

Attwood installed in a 1994 35.5

I had the Attwood shower sump installed in the bilge area where the ice box and shower drains are. It works just fine.

Shower Sump

Sharon, where and how do you run the discharge line from the sump. Does it require any new holes in the hull?
