How do I erase crumb trail on Garmin gps 172c

I have not been able to search out any subjects on eraseing the crumb trails on my garmin gps.If anyone can help thanks

Thanks for this info, I do have the manuel but I guess I was looking for the wording crumb trail and thats what threw me off. It will be nice to erase these trails as they are well traveled now. Thanks again

I posted is the whole manual. BTW, the track is set by default on that unit to erase itself inrementally when it has run out of track memory. I was once sailing back along an old track and saw it erasing itself as it was creating new in the present.
