How do you know specifically if your hunter is a cherubini design??? Is it by the serial #'s or what? I bought a 1982 Hunter 30 about 5 years ago and was curious. Saw the cherubini's in some fancy 100 greatest sailboat coffee table book and just wanted to know...thanx

By date and design
All 1982 30's were Cherubinis. See the date ranges in the Cherubini forum. The hull shape is also distinctive - just look at the pictures of the late 70's models, and you'll see what I mean. David '77 h27 Cherubini

Ed...its titled The Worlds Greatest Sailboats by Ferenc Mate'(albatros publishers 1986) ...the cherubini design boats are chapter 6 pgs 65-76....beautiful boats....thanx

Different Cherubini's.
That coffee table book probably has the newer Cherubinis, not the older Hunter Cherubinis. In the "Related Link" you can see the Table of Contents for that book. Cherubinis are still being built but not by Hunter. I would be very surprised to find our Hunters in a book of "The World's Best Sailboats" even though we know they are. I was on a new Cherubini at the Annapolis Saiboat show, it was $1.4 million!!

I have raised my price for my priceless "Freebird" a Hunter 33, 1982 vintage to..... Well, how about 2.4 Million and I'll throw in a dingy. So, now that I am a millionair, think I'll just keep her... love has no price and I do love her. Its as much a Cherubini as any other. We Hunter owners just got lucky. That's my story, and I am sticking to it.
