Hello all,

I am looking to increase my house bank size however am space-challenged. I have space for 4 6 volt Trojan T125's in the dedicated location and have room about 6 feet away for another 2 of the same. I know the ideal is all in one location, however have seen banks spread out as well. How would I wire these in parallel with existing 4 (obviously they are series / parallel - 12 volt system).... Would it be as simple as just attaching the batteries in parallel as typically done and then use the distant negative post to bring to my neg bus bar? My current wires are 2/0.

Thanks

Greg

It sounds reasonable. I have 2 group 27s forward for the windlass and 2 group 37s aft - probably about 15 feet apart. I leave the 1/2/both/off switch set to both for a very large house bank. The start battery is isolated from the house.

So in reality you have 3 separate banks..... 1, 2 and starter

That may be the easiest way for me as the extra space is next to the starting battery.
