Yeah My boat shows an unusually large number because people keep forgetting to shut off the key after the engine stops...Look for an hour meter that is triggered by engine vibration. Then your measuring engine hours and not key on hours.

John the negative reviews were from folks putting them on very smooth runnin engines. There are meters at twice the price that got better reviews. I think he non replaceable battery might turn me off.Interesting product, but did not get good reviews.
Does it have any wires attached? LOLI have a separate hour meter. It has read "0000.0 " since I have owned the boat. LOL
