I have been getting ready for summer sailing in extremely hot weather. I wanted a poptop cover that had plenty of ventilation, with a neutral color to reduce heat absorption. This is what I have come up with: lighter weight canvas with misquito screen and roll up clear vinyl windows held in place with 2 inch velcro. I figure that if 2 inch velcro does not hold the window in place, it's time to drop the top. John S

Fans are ok.
John, I have two of these fans in my boat. With a reasonably good battery the drain is very reasonable for the cooling comfort you receive. I say buy one and see. You'll like it, you wife will love you for it. Steve P.
