Has anyone figured out how to turn down the heat on the hot water tank. It appears to be fixed at 170 f.

Install single handle faucets. They work better and easier to contol water temp at outlet.

stu and kloudie hit the nail on the head here mainesail did a write up on this one time as i remember if it is getting to 170 degrees it must be from engine heating but the electric element will heat it up pretty high as well the mixing/tempering valve is the best fix and it will let you have hot water longer

Thanks everyone, I have tolerated the 170 degree since I have owned the boat however, the Grand kids are coming up and that is way too hot for them to deal with. The mixing valve makes sense and I never knew they existed. Thanks again, I love this forum!

For a $27 mixing valve and fifty bucks in brass fittings, wonderful success!
