6 gallon Seaward heater, Honda 2000 generator, tank water probably starts in the 60's (Fahrenheit) and maybe 45 minutes or so ? I'm really guessing at the time and temp.
It takes about 3.4 watts to heat 1 pound of water 1 degree F. So heating 6 gallons (50 pounds) from 60-120F will take 820 W, or 1500 W for 33 minutes. Add to that heating the steel tank and you get 45 minutes, more or less. So a good guess!

“Your hot water heater has two chambers. One for the fresh water sourced from your water tank and the other is attached to the cooling system of your inboard motor.”

Bill, not exactly.
Water tanks are a single chamber design. Your feed from the engine is run to a coiled tube inside the tank. The hot coolant flows through the tube transferring some of its heat to the fresh water in the water heater tank.

The coolant is then sent back to the engine and the Heat exchanger.

I put in an 8 gallon Isotemp. It is a beast! After water is fully heated using either engine or shore/genset power we can take showers the first day and still have hot water the second day for hot showers with no issues. Well insulated and excellent heat exchanger.
We also have the shower bags….. a 5 and 10 gallon. They get real hot!
