i have a catalina 380 2003 #379. for the past 1-1/2 years, the water pressure has worked perfectly. lately, sometimes when i turn on the hot water, it will start with good flow then drasticly reduced flow after a few seconds. it seems that when the tanks are completely filled, the flow is good. it is intermitent. sometimes great flow, sometimes not. the only other clue is the shower. the shower head has a kill valve so once you get the temp mix right, you just turn the flow on without touching the knobs. since this other problem has come up, the temp is extremely hot for a few seconds when activating the kill valve to the "on" position. this is a perplexing problem.....any clues? thnx

Crud

Sounds like you may have some crud in your lines somewhere. There is enough flow to build up pressure when the faucet is off but not enough to give you a good stream when it's open. The blockage could be on either side of the heater or in the heater itself. I'd check the flow at the inlet to the WH and then at the outlet. It may just need a good backflush.

water flow

have you checked the water filter after the hot water heater. Screens out stuff like your water intake for your engine. Check your schematic for plumbing. Is it just hot water or all water?a

Water Pressure

Check to see that the water manifold valve is turned all the way open.
