It's a new boat (O'day 272le) and these are probably basic electrical questions but here goes. I've got a pressurize water system that is not working. After playing aorund with it today I noticed the pump gets warm when the circuit is activated. Does that mean the pump motor is burned out and the pump needs replacing? Or that the pump is trying to work but no water is getting to it? As an added piece of information, when the engine is running the belt squeels if the pump ciruit is turn on. Does that mean anything besides I have a loose belt? Any help is a big help. Thanks. Todd

HOT PUMP

Disconnect the wires at the pump. If you still have the belt squeel at the engine when you turn on the pump switch, you have an electrical short in the wiring. If not, then you have a siezed up pump. Don't try to use it 'till it's fixed or replaced. You could burn up the boat!!!
