How long will a "hot patch" work? I bought a salvaged Hunter 27. During Hurricane Ivan the boat washed ashore and took on a few inches of water while laying on its side. The water came in through a hole on the chin/nose of the boat. The hole is about 12" in diameter. The boat was lifted out of the water and set on a barge. A fast/hot patch was made and was allowed to set for 4 days before the boat was put in the water. That was 8 weeks ago. Boat yards say it will be months before it can be pulled out of the water for a better repair. Soooo how long will this work?

Try a new Marina

Tony, You may want to take the boat to Mobile and have it hauled. There is lots of room at Turner Marine. You can work on the boat yourself or have someone fix it. It is about a 10 to 12 hr trip by boat.
