Has anyone ever noticed if their lpg solenoid gets VERY hot during use? Jusy noticed last night and cannot determine any reasonable explaination.

It shouldn't get even warm!

It could be normal for them to get warm but

not to be to hot for the touch. My only experience with an overheating LPG solenoid is that it failed shortly afterwards.

See new post about repairs

Mine would get hot and shut off the gas. See new topic posted about stove repairs. I know you hate to replace a part that "kinda works", but my bet is that it won't work long.
