Franklin, not many sharks in Great Lakes

At least that's where I assume T.J. sails since he is out of Racine, Wisconsin. :)

Franklin - Sharks and Helicopters

Brian's right, not many sharks in Lake Michigan. And if there are, don't tell my wife, she's deathly afraid of them. Worst we have to deal with are the savage zebra mussels and the occassional rampaging coho salmon. As far as helicopters go, hopefully being clipped to the boat would make that a non-issue. And although the underarm color on the jacket may not stand out at night, the numerous pockets are great for stowing my strobe, whistle, etc. During the day, the orange ought to be fairly apparent. Either way, no complaints from me as it is incredibly comfortable and it came as part of the "goodies" for entering the race.

Lost point

As usual, I think my point or question got lost (I hope my lost question isn't wearing one :)). Why would a manufacture ever put that color for the bottom side of the arms? Doesn't make any sense to me. Like I said...nothing against you. I would wear anything that was free and it fit and felt good. Just when I saw that I was thinking at first it was a good idea they did it but the more I thought about it, I thought it was a bad idea. I think too much I guess.

Tim: What are you doing with a chainsaw?

Is this a bunch of sailors out on a firewood gathering trip? or are you guys getting ready for a sendoff for another sailor? Like Scott says, in "Shipping News" *yks

Well, I like to call it Lemonade, cause that's

what it tastes like. The makers call it a "premium malt beveridge with natural flavors". I like to think of it as honoring the ancient naval tradition of a daily "tot". Livers' doin' fine but I'm (almost) a teetotaler ashore. Don't let Gary mislead about weather in his neighborhood, I once saw 2 sunny days in a row there.
