Hose Length

Going to get a New H270 with a marine head. Hunter drawings show a 1 1/2 inch waste sanitation hose going from the head to the holding tank located at the stern. The length seems to be about eight feet plus or minus. I been told the head will be a manual Jabsco. Any problems this system. Can you really get a good flush? What about any smells.

Flush shouldn't be any problem

And you shouldn't have any odor inside the boat--at least not from the sanitation system, unless it's stagnant seawater trapped in the head intake, which is easy to fix (in fact, since they're building you a new boat, you could ask Hunter to plumb it with the fix built in...see the article in this forum on Intake odor.)Odor out the vent line is another issue, will depend upon how the tank is vented. Read that article and discuss the installation with Hunter...I'll be glad to get inolved if eithr party asked me to.Enjoy your new boat!
