The 1" OD discharge nipple on the Jabsco macerating pump I got for my holding tank pumpout is just less than one inch long. About 3/4" of that length is smooth and at the end (the open end) there is a section that is expanded to form a lip. Normally I would use two hose clamps on a plumbing fitting. The ABA hose clamps I got have a band width of 1/2". The first clamp fits nicely on the 3/4" section but if I put two on it will clamp on the lip and overhang the end of the nipple a bit which seems like it might not be the best thing to do.
So, should I use one hose clamp or two ?
I hope my description is clear.
Thanks.
