Greetings Mistress, I put in a new hose. I cleaned up the aluminum elbow on the tank and it looks ok. (I will probably replace the tank next year. Looks like an all-hands evolution. I will probably have to cut a hole in the after bulkhead to get the old tank out!!) Anyway, I got a piece of sealand sanihose on there. But the stuff is so stff I can't get it to line up with the fitting and there isn't enough room to get a good grip on it. What can I use to lubricate it to get it to slide on easier. Sweating it out... thanks Bruce Z

Warm the hose and lubricate it

Use a blow dryer--it'll take a little patience--to warm the hose just enough to soften it a bit. Do NOT use a heat gun...if you overheat the hose, it can split. Smear a little KY jelly on the inside of the hose and on the fitting. It'll still take a little work to get the hose onto the fitting, but you should be able to do it.
