I hope this is an appropriate place to post this request. My wife and I (in our 50s, though me just barely) will be in the Tampa area March 15-17, 2015, visiting from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. We currently have an ODay 19, used to have a Daysailor, and raced a Capri 22 for many years. We are thinking of moving up to a larger ODay (25-30?) and are hoping to hop on board one for a few hours while on vacation in FL. We will provide food and/or libations. we are not exactly in the Tampa Bay area, about 2 - 2/12 hours due east, on the Atlantic (ICW), in Titusville.
We sail a PRISTINE Oday 28', you and your mate are welcome to join us for a day sail,
if my schedule allows, and you don't have any better offers!!
it's only the distance that is an issue,, and of course, the weather!

Actually that area on the Atlantic side was another option we were thinking of checking into anyway, as we'd like to possibly visit Cape Canaveral during our trip. If we made it to that side it would most likely be March 17/18. Can we stay in touch?

we are pretty close to the Cape -- there is a launch this Sunday evening, and from our Marina, you can see and feel our tax dollars at work!
there is a lot to do in this area,,,
