Can someone tell me if there is a piece missing in the photo of the Hood furling system? Seller doesn't know anymore than I do since he never installed it. Having hank on's, I certainly have no idea. Any thoughts on this furler?

There is a spacer that fits inside the tube below the drum that keep the unit centered on the forestay. I know this because this part was lost when I have the boat shipped to me when I first bought it.

+1 on the centering spacer. It may be secured inside the bottom of the drum with tape or something. Can't tell from the pic.
Thanks for the input. Any idea of what that piece would cost? It came from a 74 Hunter 30. I would like to replace my old Schaefer cable luff furler with more modern reefing style.....even though this one looks like it's been around a while. I don't want to find out that I would have been better off buying new.
It was around $25.00 with shipping from Pompanette. It is a wear item, so expect to replace it every 10 years or so.
