Honda Generator Recall

FYI: There was a notice posted in Consumer Reports that Honda Portable Generators, Model EU2000i, sold from Oct 2011 thru Sept 2012 have been recalled because of a fuel hose leak that could cause a fire. Dealers will inspect for free.

not to steal the thread but has anyone used the new ryobi 2200 watt generator? I am about to pull the pin and buy a honda when I saw the new and improved ryobi2200. It is about 400 bucks less.

I just purchased a honda eu20001 for $935 delivered which I thought was not too bad.

sdstef... run one and then run a Honda before you buy. Compare the quietness.. I think both are good machines but the Honda is very quiet. I bought a Generac inverter generator, the iX 2000 because it has mor rated power than the Honda and costs a good bit less... but it is much louder than the Honda..so check out the Ryobi and report here ! I hope someone introduces one to match the Honda's quiet.

Check out Yamaha 2000 - matches all the Honda specs plus i has a fuel gauge and fuel shutoff.

They sell them at Home Depot, you can go to their rental dept. and ask to hear one of their rentals.
