I cheated and purchased one
I was told by NavPod that the GP1040 Uncut would not fit the C90w, I thought otherwise after reviewing the measurements, it did, but I needed to remove the molded end of the connector which protruded beyond the 90deg. bend. No big deal, was solid plastic no wire in the protrusion.

For those that asked, that was made from an 8' piece of fence rail. There are two lengthwise reinforcements within the rail. So if you look at it from the end you see three approximately 2" by 2" holes. I inserted a length of 2" by 2" lumber in the three sections. Then I used a hole saw to cut out the area for the instruments to recess. Next removed the center 2x2, that is where the wires run. The other two 2x2s reinforce it and give me something solid to screw into.
This is not original with me. Tom H. is the first that I saw(picture). But I did not like it perched like that. So I installed the taller offset helm guard. I did not want my GPS mounted there because: 1) I like it to swivel, and 2) I take it home.

I wish I could take credit for fabrication of the pod but it is off the shelf Nav Pod. It is however, out of their POWER BOAT catalog, as is the tilt and swivel mount. All I had to do was cut a few holes. All the info and controls I need without having to climb around the cockpi. The engine instrument panel to port and engine control panel to starboard complete the picture. (Those I did make.)
