Hole in the Hull, Help

Somehow I have managed to put a fist size crack/hole in the bottom of my new to me O'day Widgeon, without leaving the yard, without hoisting a sail.... I'd like to do the repair myself.
I cant get at the damage from the inside.
Can someone direct me to a "keep it simple" resource on how to make this repair?

Don Casey's book. Has step by step with pictures. I've fixed a hole using this method and can post pics next time I have my computer. Im on my phone right now

I followed his suggestions and got a very nice fix.... and I didn't have access from inside so it was a bit more tricky. Your's will be a little more straight forward to fix. Highly recommend this book.
