The holding tank on the boat is too small. How easy is it to change to the next size up? Thanks...

what boat?

If you note which make/model boat you have a better chance of getting a response from someone who has already done this modification. Obviously you are limited by the size of the area where the existing tank is located, or you will have to find a new space, or add a second tank. Peggie is the tank guru, but she will need more specifics from you.

There is no "next size up"

Holding tanks are available in all kinds of shapes and sizes from 2-300 gallons...so as Steve said, it's a matter of available space on your boat for a tank within about 6' of the toilet. But you may not need a larger tank...you may only need to learn how not to fill up the one you have with flush water. If you use the "wet" mode most of the time, using the "dry" mode only to empty the last of the water out of the bowl, you can double the number of flushes your tank can hold by doing it this way: Pump only a couple of times in the "wet" mode to wet the bowl ahead of use...switch to "dry" to pump bowl contents to tank-- most people don't realize that any toilet that's working anywhere near factory specs can move bowl contents at least 6' in the "dry" mode...then switch back to "wet" for only a few pumps to rinse the bowl and provide enough water to rinse out the hose...back to "dry" again to pump that all the way to the tank. You should find the link below to be useful.
