holding tank dimensions

Hello I am new to the group but have already found a wealth of info.

I own a '79 Pearson 30 and need to have a holding tank installed. What dimensions are required to have one made. It will be located on the port side below the V berth.

I live in Maine and cruise Casco Bay and Penobscot Bay with a family of four and recommendations on the size?

Take up the cushions in the V-berth. If you see screw heads in the wood underlay you should be able to remove it to get into the area below the V-berth for measurement.
