I bought a 28' Hunter, 1989, several years ago. Each time I had the holding tank pumped, less came out. This year, I took all hoses off, back flushed through the air vent. "Water" came out the "in" but nothing came out the "exit" fittings until a tampon washed out. My marina person said that the tank probally has bellows & they are clogged. I have back washed MANY times. Any ideas?

Bellows????

I don't have a clue what he means by that, but it sounds like the tampon wasn't the only thing in your tank pumpout hose.

Built in tank?

Tom: Is you tank built into the hull (fiberglass?). If it is there is probably a lid on it that can be removed. Before you start you should get some caulk/adhesive solvent to disolve the caulking. Have you tried to take you boat "offshore" and pump overboard?

That was my first thought...but--

Clogged baffles???

My 89 H28 had a six gallon aluminum holding

tank, but I don't think it had baffles. The vent scupper is beneath the captain's seat in the cockpit. Terry
