We have had ongoing problems with our 30 year old, Islander 36's holding tank system. We sail on the Chesapeake and plan on heading south to FL and the Carribbean in the next few years. Fittings are cracked and the hoses are terminal on our system, (age). We are planning on ripping it out and replacing it. We have investigated and researched replacement systems, Purasan, Electrasan and Conventional systems. At this point, after reading of growing govenmental and marina environmental regulations, and alot of expert opinions, I ask you, my fellow sailor's, what is the best system to install as a replacement, within a reasonable budget, that will work well for the future?
