Imposter

John, you are obviously an imposter. You try to talk like a yankee, but, if you did not get clam cakes with your chowda, I tend to believe that you must have made the whole thing up.

I have it both ways!

OK my turn to weigh in. On November 1st I dropped the mast on my 23ft Columbia "HDSP2" and shook a quarter inch of Halloween ice off of the mast in the Denver area and took it home for the winter. Then while I was in the yard in Biloxi MS with 'Short Circuit' on Nov 22nd rewiring the mast wearing shorts on 70deg F weather it was snowing at home in Denver. Captain John, I admire your bravery in going out in the frig. weather. That is probabbly the only way a true sailer can get full benefit out of a year's worth of sailing. Does you compass have a SOUTH on it? :)

Late response from Florida

I would have responded earlier, but we were out of touch in South Florida's Everglades. While you guys were talking, my mate and I were taking a sunset sail into Florida Bay from Flamingo in the Everglades. Aboard the Windfall, a gaff rigged schooner. Not quite teeshirt weather at dusk, but darned near. Porpoise alongside, a flock of Roseate Spoonbills overhead, and a 12 knot breeze. I have pictures, but unfortunately haven't solved the megabyte problem yet. Cheers, Sanders
