Triple Play was hauled about Oct. 25th...still haven't been aboard her...although I did have a friend check her. I still need to winterize the engine...but I still need to rake all my leaves too...and finish painting some walls in the house after having some windows/doors replaced. Plus today is my last day at my old company after about 22.5 years. New job starts monday and I will no doubt be busy as one of six employees instead of one of two thousand.

Good luck on the new job. But I think you should make some time for Triple Play this weekend. She will be very upsite if you don't get her winterized soon. You know that will cost you too. So keep her happy.

Yes, best of luck with the new gig!
I'm not as far along as I'd like either. I did get antifreeze in the systems though. I had hoped to wash the leaf dirt off before the yard shuts down our water, because it will get into my old gel coat and grow algae over the winter. We have quite a few trees around the edge of the yard and both fall leaves and spring pollen make a mess.
thought I might actually get a coat of wax on her, but it's too late now. The tarps will have to do.

Good luck with new job!!! With 35 yrs, I'm one of about 150K in the company...3 more to go...Going to six would definately be a difference. Probably less stress....Just had foot surgery and also waiting for engine parts so our vessel is probably also feeling neglected....I don't have to haul for the winter though. I definatley feel for you guys that have to haul for the winter. I like to sail in the winter around here. And, my wife stated today that we need to buy a leaf blower!!!! Ha....

We just bought a small echo backpack blower and love it. It is small enough so my Wife can use it and powerful enough to do the job. Between that and our law mower sized leaf vacuum did yeomans work today picking up leaves. Did a little painting too, so the kitchen is all set, but the living room still needs more touch ups so I can get the extension ladder out of the room and the Christmas tree in. So hopefully I can do the winterization next week. Fortunately, since my fresh water tank is defunct, all I have to do is flush the engine with glycol and toss some in the holding tank. Then I can put up the boom tent and call it a winter.

I am really looking forward to work tomorrow...something I haven't thought for a long time.

Leaf Blower!? Closest I've ever come to using one of those was reversing my shop vac hose to clear leaves out of the cockpit last weekend. Swept the last of the tree detritus off today, pulled the batteries, tarped the foredeck so I can keep the hatch cracked open. Streched a tarp over the companionway back to cover the winches too. Good luck to all this winter.

Shop vac!!!! That's right... My shop vac is supposed to be a blower and it's a big 16 gal Ridgid. I pulled the power head off, hooked up the tubes and gave it to my wife. She blew the whole back patio/walkways. Worked great. Thanks much for that little mind jolt....

I doubt that my shop vac would pull water out of my bilge though. It would be nice if it would.

I use my shop vac all the time to pull water. It will pull from the bilge too. Try it some time. Make shore the filter has been removed if it has paper in it.
