I have just purchased a 26' oday fixed keel boat which needs work. I have no information at all on it, and am desperate for some specs and history to be sure I have actualy got what I think I have for a boat. And to find the proper parts and sails for it. Can anyone help ! I have learned very little to date and seek all I can about this particular boat and it's design. Thanks to any who may reply. My e-mail address is sylvainfam@aol.com

Rod Johnson,

O'DAY OUTLAW

O'Day Outlaw was designed by Philip Rhodes (also designed the Rhodes 19), and was produced by O'Day in the mid to late 1960's. I think most were actually built for O'Day by a company in Canada. The Length is: 26', Waterline: 19' 0", Beam: 8' 0", Draft: 4' 3", sail area: 291 sqft, mast length: 28' 3", Boom length: 11' 9", Ballast: 2300# lead, weight complete: 5050#. The Outlaw had a full-Keel with attached rudder, 4 berths, outboard well in the stern or optional inboard engine. I have added a link to a 1968 O'Day sales brochure, it should show pretty close to your older Outlaw.
