History of Vega Lorna Doone and Circumnavigation

The "files" section of this Yahoo e-mail group now contains a Word
document (and plain text version) describing the history of this 1972
Vega, including a description of upgrades made and a summary of the
previous owner's circumnavigation solo in it. It's enjoyable and well
worth reading. The file size is only 33K, so it takes only a few
seconds to download the file. It's 4 pages long.

In case you've never looked at the files of this Vega group, here's how
you do it.

1. Go to Yahoo! Groups and sign in. (You need your user name
and password you gave Yahoo (or the former eGroups) when you first
signed up to this list.
2. Click "files"
3. Click History of Vega Lorna Doone (Get the .doc version if you use MS
Word, or the .txt version for any other word processor.)
4. At this point your browser should give you instructions to download
the file and where to put it. (Netscape, for example, offers the choice
to open it directly or save it wherever you want it.)
5. That's it! It takes only a few seconds at 56K baud. If you haven't
been to the files section before, take a look at the other files here
also. A favorite of mine is the 1970s Vega ad photograph and text that
Tom Hammill uploaded for us all--I've hung it on my office wall and it
provokes interesting comments from visitors!

I hope everyone can access this easily enough. I'm not much of an
expert on the Yahoo system, but I haven't had any difficulties with it
myself. If you have a problem, email me directly (not to the group
address).

Thanks for the information. I could not figure out the process before but
check out the photo section on the site now. I have uploaded 12 pictures
from the 2001 Rendezvous. I know you have pictures too Gene but I think you
will have to begin a new album in order to upload them.
Lorna Doone is the third photo with green spray hood.
