In May we hired a surveyor prior to the purchase of our Hunter31. He surveryed the boat while on the hard and told us what things should be done prior to putting it in. At the sea trial all went well so we bought the boat. Months have passed and we have not received the survey. After many calls I got a hold of him in July and he said the report would be forthcoming. In August he told me he lost the file and would have to re-do the survey(in the water). Finally last week we got a hold of him to ask where the survey was and he said he didn't loose the paperwork just the hull ID numbers and got them and would be sending out the report. A week later and nothing. What legal grounds do we have if anyone might know? I am ready to take him to small claims to return our money. has anyone encountered anything like this? Any advice would be helpful.
