hinged mast step

I am wondering if anyone has a hinged mast step on their 285? And if so was it a factory option? I would like to be able to hoist and lower my mast without the help of a crane or jinpole. I believe it is doable but would like some imput from other owners before going ahead on this idea. Pictures would really help if available.

The 285 uses a z-spars z351 mast section. No pivoting base was designed or made for this mast.

You could design your own base, but it would still be a big job to get the mast up. The First 260 uses the slightly smaller z265 mast section (even if it's a bigger rig) with a pivoting base. We've lowered it once with an A-frame. It's a job I would not want to repeat.
