Finally found the pump for my Avon. It was in a locker on the boat that finally found its way back to Ohio. So today I finally unrolled the dinghy to see how much work it would take to make it serviceable. Then I remembered that I had purchased an air floor from Rich S. Sure enough the thing fits. Looks a little strange because I had blown up the keel before I inserted the floor. I also do not have the clamps in there that hold it down in the stern.

This all happened because years ago someone stole one of the three sections of the plywood floor. We sailed to Florida without the forward panel. It was time for a new floor and this one is much lighter. Thanks Rich.

I have to give you credit, you always have a good solution, but the story to get to the end is always the best part.

Funny story Ed. I had Timmy looking all over down at the New Port Richey condo for the pump. I said, did you check the storage shed? He found the two floor panels but not the pump. Then one day when the temp was above 40 I went to the boat. There it was in the stern locker. But all that hurricane gear is still down there, the FX37 and chafe gear and 200' of nylon rode.

Glad the floor fit OK. After you get the stern clips installed and inflate the keel AFTER the floor, it will look and serve you well.
