Have you inspected the hull to deck joint on your 302? I noticed some water staining on the trim inside the v-birth so decided to have a look.
What I found was this - the through bolts of the joint were tensioned kinda half on/half off a strip of wood that was glassed in along the joint in order to have something to screw the trim to. Well, water had seeped into this wood via the bolts and its wetted out.
The obvious result is that the trim has become water stained. However, upon inspection, since the fairing wood is now wetted out and the bolts were tightened partially on top of it, the bolts are now loose due to the change in thickness.
Maybe take a look at yours? Or maybe you have no water ingress like me
My plan is to cut out that wood and replace/rebed all of the bolts in the joint, ensuring they're against the glass.
