buying that CS! Everything fell through on the long weekend in August! I had given the broker the down payment and was to get te survey done on the Tuesday of that week but everything went south on Friday and Saturday. Alot of the advice from you guys saved me thousands of dollars and I would like you all to know how much that I appreciate all of your input. I am now going to take it easy and keep looking for my first Sailboat and hopefully I will be in one by next spring. I have learned alot from this little ordeal and I am much more confident in myself and I really think that I will be able to purchase a really good first Sailboat. Sorry for not keeping you guys informed on what happened but i thought you guys all had forgotten me or were glad to be rid of my posts! I just happened to be surfing today and thought about this site and decided to re-check it out. Well I was surprised that spme of you guys were wondering what had happened and that resulted in this post. Oh, one of the posts that I found funny was that someone thought I was another person and that all of the stuff I was asking was all fake! Anyways, it is all true and it all happened and i'm kinda happy that you guys thought of me! Thanks again guys: Kevaqn from Hamilton

Just as you are thinking about us, we

think about you. We often have individuals come on here and ask questions, never to reappear again. When you are ready, you will know it and patience is a virtue. Look, sail and ask questions, keep adding to the boat kitty. Boats require money, sometimes I think they are worse than a woman, when it comes to money. I'm just glad they don't talk.
Thanks for getting back to us and we'll keep a eye out for your next post asking about such and such a sailboat.

Keep it up,
Ctskip

good to hear from you

Thanks for the update Kevan. I was wondering if you had found something. We were away the last week of July and went up to Killarney so was out of touch for the most part. http://www.sailboatowners.com/forums/pviewall.tpl?fno=122&uid=7329399669&SKU=2008226135359.32

Keep looking, there's lots of boats out there.

Thanks Catskip & Scotty "B", i couldn't for the life of me...

think of why i never came back on here after that sale fell through! But after thinking about it, i realized why! It wasn't because of anything related too, or anyone from this site. As I said yesterday, everyone was really helpfull. What happened was, the way that the sale fell through left a really bad taste in my mouth. I was so angry about the way things went down that i just wanted nothing at all to do with boating period! Now a months time has passed and so did all the bad feelings. So, yesterday as i was online, I just thought of this site for some reason and BANG, you know the rest! Oh, Scott, you were saying to ask about my next boat i am interested in. Well I sure will. I really liked that CS, otherwise I wouldn't have gave the broker the 10% downpayment. Anyways, i would love to get a CS if possible, but, I will keep an open mind. Its just that, of all the boats I looked at and went on, the CS impressed me the most because compared to the other boats, the CS felt like a good 30 footer if that makes sense to you. Plus the CS's headrooom was 6ft. asw am I. Its just that the one I was after was no way near ready to go. Thats why I ended up backing out of the deal. I would still love to have that boat, as she is very sound and seaworthy but the sails must furl and the boat must be able to be sailed by me by myself and those were the main things wrong with that boat. I should be on her right now typing this post but i'm not! Kevan
