I have three breakers on the DC panel marked ... forward enter , main enter and aft enter. Can someone tell me what these were designed to control? I've had the boat for 12 years and have never once turned them on. Curiosity has got the best of me. Just wondering what they were there for. Anybody know? I had a picture but the forum doesn't like the hiec format

I've assumed the same thing. However, entertainment on my boat is a tv in the v berth and main salon and a Bose stereo dvd system. All are 110 and operate off the inverter. The only 12v entertainment is the cockpit stereo which has it's own breaker on the 12v panel. So I speculate that there was some other 12v entertainment. Just wondering what it was and where the wires attached to the breakers end in the walls/ceiling.

I've turned them on over the years nothing happens. All systems remain the same as they are with them off. I just thought some one may have the options that they were put there for and therefore would know what they were designed to be attach to and where that option was located

Often "enter"tainment systems were dealer installed options that were connected to breakers installed at the factory which MAY or MAY NOT have had wiring installed at the factory. The only way to find out about wiring is for you to open up your electrical panel and see if any wires are actually connected to those breakers. Often even other folks with the same boat may have different experiences with those same breakers/wires based on what the original owner ordered from the factory.

Do you have an owner's manual? A 49 ft boat could justify have 3 separate interior 12 volt circuits, that would give you options for adding more utilities. The absolute first thing to do is open up the panel and trace every wire, then add new labels as needed. If there's another owners group besides SBO, you might get more help... or even a wiring diagram. (again, something often found in an owner's manual. Good luck.... worst case is you now have 3 additional breakers on your panel that can be pretty handy when you start upgrading appliances and electronics.

The schematics in the owner's manuals are pretty good. The wires are color coded .... I believe later years even had numbered wires (like Beneteau has been doing for long long time...) ?
