A '74 Helsen 22 will be auctioned from an estate in a week or so. Can anyone comment on the quality of this boat series? Has anyone had any experience with a Helsen?

We bought a used Helsen 22 of unknown age years ago and kept it for over a year. It sailed reasonably well and is simular to a catalina 22. We sold it to buy a Macgregor 26 because of the mac having more room and weighing less to tow. Our Helsen was rugged but also pretty rough inside...I wouldn't call it a high quality boat. But ours had not been well cared for and a well cared for boat might be much nicer. I think that we paid $2800 for the boat and trailer. The PO ripped us off as the main sail that he gave us with the boat was too small and we had to get a new sail. But overall we were happy with the boat except for it's small size.
