Greetings all, My '84 H27 has a tight steering problem. It's feels like the wheel brake is too tight, except it dosen't have a wheel brake.... I disconnected the quadrant cables, which were very slack, and checked the rudder, it moves freely. I found the compass light wire jammed in the chain, and removed it. I lubricated the chain & bearings, but it's still really hard to turn the wheel. It's Merriman Yacht Specialty unit, who I believe are no longer in buisness. Are parts available anywhere ? How much tension should be on the quadrant cables ? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the help, Al
