Help with rudder log rebedding ??????

Has anyone rebedded the rudder log? Mine weeps water. The nuts seem to be corroded and I'm concerned they will break the bolts when attempting to remove them. They seem to be imbedded in the FG and come up thru the holes in the log? If they break this could be a huge problem but I'd like to correct.
