What are those white connectors called, and where do you get them?

BTW, the black ones don't require tools, you make them up hand tight.
We have to tighten the black ones w/a crescent wrench, but they are nearly 40 years old. I don't remember what the white ones are called, but will try to find them and get back to you. I got them at a plumbing supply place in RI.

Thanks, no rush on that, just curious. I have the black ones and if you don't cross-thread them they thread together easily, no tools. They aren't made watertight by tightness, you just have to put some pressure on the O-ring.

The white fittings are o-ring type, similar to Whale tubing fittings, but they look very slightly different. They can leak if cocked or if there is any roughness on the tube end.

I too prefer the Parker fittings. Common in industry.

Thanks, jviss.
I should be around the boat through the weekend.
I will keep an eye out for you.

Just to complete this thread. I finished the plumbing project today, tying the new pex with the original, thanks to a timely delivery of new connections from jviss.

I found it easier working with the pex because I didn't spend as much time hunting in the bilge for dropped o-rings. But I am clumsier than most.

While my work does not match that of many on this site, I do like how the pex is neatly installed along the engine compartment walls rather than hanging over the engine on the way to the water heater as in the original installation.

Thanks, all.
