Help with new vibration

After enduring the winter and early spring, I fired up the Yanmar 2GM last weekend. The motor ran fine, but there was a new vibration I've never had before. Went below and the attached video was what I found. Would love the perspective of all the wise heads on this site.
Is this a cutless bearing/shaft alignment issue? (it's the original bearing and it's 32 years old)
Or potentially a motor mount? (all original)
Or does the packing nut on the shaft simply need to be tightened?
Is this amount of water normal? I don't normally see this much...the packing area was cool to the touch.

Many variables. Need info. Folding prop? What type? Does vibration happen when in neutral or only when in gear? Does it happen in both forward and reverse? Does it happen when in gear and tied up at the slip or only when under way? Or vice versa? The Kanzaki transmission is known for "hammering" when the clutch slips. This would only happen when in gear and usually only in forward gear. I could not watch video so forgive me if these questions were already answered. Also, could be misaligned shaft, cutlass bearing, out of balance folding prop or some combination.

Great questions. Fixed, two-blade prop. Will check it out re: neutral/forward/reverse this weekend. The video was taken while underway in forward gear. Thanks.

Please take a good long video with close-ups of the xmission flange and gland so we get a better look at just what's rockin' and rollin' in there. Also at various speeds if you can manage. Verbally describe what's going on as you shoot.

Better, longer video is a great idea...but there's some size limitations to appending a video here. A 10-second video I shot was too big to post...unless there's a work around to submit a longer video? Thx.

Ralph, his current video is 2 seconds long and is already 3.7MB big:yikes:. I assume there are limits for file size on SBO. I know others have put links to allow for longer videos. Do you have any thoughts to help Steve L22188 out . . . if he needs it?

All I can think of right now is putting it in a drop box.

And that's actually pretty good thinking for not having my morning coffee yet and with our parrot sitting on my shoulder screaming his head off because I won't give him my undivided attention.

I'd hate to lose the resolution to compensate for size as it looks good right now.

If you don't have a bent shaft, unbalanced propeller, then I'd put mu money on improperly aligned motor.

Possibly due to marine growth over the winter/spring months?
That as well as pranging it on something. Your prop should be balanced every couple of haul outs, as a general rule.

When I had a racket like that I took a quick dive under the boat and wiggled the prop left and right. Right away I could tell I had a bad cutless bearing. A quick dive on your part might do the same for you. My bearing went about 30 years. I was embarrasssed I did not check it each season before launch but I do now.

Thanks to all of you for your ideas and thinking. I'm going to take a closer look at motor mounts this weekend. We're on a fresh water lake and have a zebra mussels issue - there's a chance they favored one propeller blade over another and that's now out of balance. It's been about 3-4 years since it's been out of the water and suspect that, even though the motor doesn't get lots of use, the cutless bearing may be finally worn out from age alone. I'll let you know what I find out after some further investigation.
